…and the disease continues to spread.
Amidst all of the Biden Bits that have hit the airwaves this week, Rep. Hastings of Florida has now also been attacked by the Foot in Mouth illness. While Biden seems to have a mild (almost humorous) form of the disease, Hastings appears to have contracted the most severe strain causing hate-filled speech to spew forth.

”Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through. If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention,” said Hastings.
When I learned of his condition, I couldn’t help but let Hastings know how I felt by emailing him at his website (I had to choose an issue from a list). Here is my e-mail:
(Since “stupidity” was not one of your choices, I chose “education.”) I have gained an immense EDUCATION this election year with the help of liberals like you who say some of the most asinine things. So, Palin is going to shoot blacks and Jews? I’ve never heard of you before, but after hearing such a base and stupid insinuation, I am now even more convinced that it is liberals that have a monopoly on hate speech. You guys just keep talking and showing what’s in your heart and it will be McCain that will walk away with this election. In my opinion, you are not fit to serve this great country.
